WE BELIEVE IN TEACHING & LEARNING
Powerhouse is a place where artists can realize projects, find community, and grow opportunities to sustain creative lives. In addition to working with our fabricators and with each other in our community shops, youth and adults can engage with Powerhouse:
  • THROUGH ART MAKING AND SKILL-BUILDING WORKSHOPS
  • BY PARTICIPATING IN ONLINE AND IN-PERSON EVENTS AND GATHERINGS
  • THROUGH OUR ARTS EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM

Partnerships connect Powerhouse Arts with industry partners to learn the trade-based skills of art fabrication careers. Our educational approach investigates different ways of making, engages participants in creative problem-solving, and supports the actualization of artistic projects from ideation to completion.

Powerhouse aims to provide a sustainable education model to our partners. We work with each partner to create an individualized curriculum and/or programming plan to optimize opportunities for professional development and the acquisition of trade-based skills.

Powerhouse Arts has partnered with CUNY to offer an internship program specializing in hands-on learning and professional practice in the arts.
